Characteristics of gravel aggregate for highway

In the construction of expressway, high requirements are put forward for the grain shape and grading of concrete aggregate, especially the needle flake content in the gravel. In order to solve the requirements of particle size and grading, particle shape, particle composition consistency, cleanliness and 0.075mm particle content, Sanmei added a new sand making machine in the production line configuration to better meet the requirements of highway cement, asphalt and other sand aggregate.

Highway sand aggregate production line is divided into coarse crushing, medium fine crushing and sand shaping three stages.

• The first stage: coarse crushing
  The bulk stone material is uniformly fed by the vibrating feeder through the bin and transported to the jaw crusher for coarse crushing. After the coarse crushing material is screened by the vibrating screen, it is transported by the belt conveyor to the cone crusher (hard rock) or the impact crusher (medium hard and soft rock) for medium crushing.
• The second stage: medium fine crushing
  After the stone transported to the impact crusher is crushed, the circular vibrating screen is used for screening, and the material greater than or equal to 40mm is returned to the impact crusher for crushing again.
• The third stage: sand making
  The crushed stone particles less than 40mm are sent to the sand making machine for further crushing and shaping, and the materials greater than or equal to 20mm are sent back to the sand making machine for fine crushing again. Materials less than 20mm are sent to the circular vibrating screen for screening and packaging. If clean sand aggregate is needed, it can be sent to the sand washing machine for cleaning.
